Supermetrics is worth it when you pull data from several ad platforms into Looker Studio, Sheets or a warehouse every week and the time saved is worth more than the fee. For one or two sources, free connectors or a cheaper tool may be enough. Compare by the connectors you need, the number of accounts, and refresh limits.

So the short answer to “is Supermetrics worth it” depends less on the tool and more on your own setup. This guide gives you the prices, the comparisons and a simple way to decide. All prices are from each vendor’s own pricing page as of October 2026.

What does Supermetrics do?

Supermetrics copies data out of marketing platforms and delivers it to the tool where you build reports. It saves you from downloading spreadsheets by hand from each platform.

If you have ever asked “what is Supermetrics”, think of it as plumbing. Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, your email tool and your store each hold their own numbers. Supermetrics connects to each one, pulls the fields you pick on a schedule, and sends them to a destination such as Looker Studio (now called Data Studio), Google Sheets, Excel, Power BI or, on its top plan, a data warehouse such as BigQuery or Snowflake.

It matters most for platforms Google does not connect for free. Looker Studio has free Google-made connectors for Google Ads, GA4, Search Console and Sheets. For Meta Ads and most other platforms you need a partner connector, a spreadsheet step, or a warehouse. Our guide on how to connect Facebook Ads to Looker Studio walks through those routes.

What it does not do: decide which numbers matter, design the dashboard, or fix tracking that is wrong at the source. Clean pipes still deliver whatever is in the tank.

How is Supermetrics priced?

Supermetrics charges a monthly subscription by plan, and each plan caps the number of data sources, accounts per source, destinations and users. You pay more as any of those grow.

Here is what the pricing page showed as of October 2026, for anyone asking how much Supermetrics costs:

StarterGrowthEnterprise
Billed monthly$55 a month$222 a monthQuote only
Billed yearly$44 a month$177 a monthQuote only
Data sources3 of your choice6 of your choiceAll
Accounts per source37Custom
Destinations11Includes warehouses
Users12Custom

A few things to read carefully:

  • A destination is where the data lands. If you want the same data in both Looker Studio and Google Sheets, that is two destinations, and the second is a paid add-on.
  • Accounts are counted per source. Three Meta ad accounts use all three account slots for Meta on Starter.
  • Add-ons have ceilings. Extra users, sources, accounts and destinations can be added to Starter and Growth up to a set limit. Past that, you move to Enterprise.
  • Warehouse destinations sit on Enterprise. BigQuery and Snowflake are listed there, with pricing by quote.

The pricing page lists a 14-day free trial with no credit card. Use it with your real accounts, not a test account, so you find the limits before you pay.

When is it worth the money?

It is worth the money when the hours it removes cost more than the subscription, and when the data would not reach your dashboard any other way. Work that out for your own setup before you look at features.

A quick way to check:

  1. List every platform you report on. Cross off the ones Google connects for free.
  2. Count the ad accounts on each remaining platform.
  3. Write down how often the numbers need to update: monthly, weekly or daily.
  4. Estimate the hours someone spends exporting and pasting data each month.
  5. Multiply those hours by what that person’s time costs you. Compare the result with the plan you would need.

Example with made-up numbers: if exports take three hours a month and that time costs you $40 an hour, manual reporting costs $120 a month. A $55 plan clears that easily. A $222 plan does not, unless it also gives you faster decisions or fewer errors that you value.

How this plays out by business type:

BusinessTypical setupLikely answer
Local service companyGoogle Ads, GA4, maybe one Meta ad accountUsually not needed. Free connectors plus one cheap or free Meta option
Ecommerce brandGoogle, Meta, TikTok, email and a store platform, weekly reviewsOften worth it, or a cheaper rival at the same job
B2B companyGoogle Ads, LinkedIn Ads, a CRM, monthly reportingBorderline. Monthly exports by hand may be fine
AgencyMany client accounts on the same few platformsA connector is needed. Account limits decide which one

One more test: if nobody opens the dashboard, no connector is worth it. Fix that first. See How Much Does a Marketing Dashboard Cost? for the full list of costs around the connector.

Supermetrics vs Funnel

Funnel is a larger data platform that stores and cleans your marketing data before sending it on, and it costs more. Supermetrics is the lighter choice when you mainly need data delivered to a report.

On “Supermetrics vs Funnel”, the price gap is the first thing you notice. As of October 2026, Funnel’s pricing page shows its Starter plan from $300 a month and its Business plan from $600 a month, with Enterprise by quote. Supermetrics starts at $55.

Funnel says its cost does not change with data volume or row counts, only when you buy more capacity. That predictability is useful for a company with heavy data. For a business with four platforms and one dashboard, it is more tool than the job needs.

Supermetrics vs Windsor.ai and other cheaper tools

Windsor.ai and a handful of similar tools do the core job, getting ad data into Looker Studio or Sheets, for less money and with looser account limits. The tradeoff is usually fewer extras and less hand-holding, so test your exact sources first.

For “Supermetrics vs Windsor.ai”, these are the published entry points as of October 2026:

ToolPaid plans fromWhat the entry plan includesFree option
Supermetrics$55 a month3 sources, 3 accounts each, 1 destination, 1 user14-day trial
Windsor.ai$23 a month3 sources, 75 accounts, unlimited users, daily refresh30-day trial, then a free plan with 1 source and 1 account
Coupler.io$32 a month3 accounts, 1 destination, 1 user, daily refreshFree plan with 1 account and manual refresh
Porter Metrics$15 a month for 1 accountPriced per connected account; reports are unlimitedFree plan with 30 days of history

What the table shows is that the tools count different things. Supermetrics counts sources and accounts per source. Windsor.ai counts sources and total accounts. Porter Metrics counts connected accounts only. An agency with thirty client ad accounts on two platforms gets a very different quote from each.

Before you switch for price alone, check four things on a trial:

  • Does it have the exact fields you report on, not just the platform?
  • How far back does it pull history?
  • How often does it refresh on the plan you would buy?
  • What happens when a login expires? Do you get an alert, or a blank chart?

Slow or failing connectors are a common cause of dashboard trouble, whichever brand you pick. Looker Studio Slow or Not Updating? How to Fix It covers the fixes. If you want a finished reporting product instead of a connector, see Marketing Reporting Tools: AgencyAnalytics, Databox, Looker.

Can you avoid paid connectors entirely?

Yes, if your data is mostly in Google’s own platforms or you only report monthly. It takes more manual work or more setup, so it suits simple accounts best.

Your options, from least to most effort:

  • Use Google’s free connectors. If Google Ads is your main channel, Google Ads, GA4 and Search Console connect to Looker Studio at no cost.
  • Export by hand into Google Sheets. Download a monthly file from Meta or LinkedIn, paste it into the same sheet each time, and chart the sheet. Fine for one or two accounts on a monthly rhythm.
  • Use a free plan. As of October 2026, Windsor.ai, Coupler.io and Porter Metrics each list a free tier with tight limits, such as one account or 30 days of history. That can cover a single Meta ad account.
  • Send data to BigQuery. This is the route for larger setups, and it needs someone technical. See Do You Need a Marketing Data Warehouse or BigQuery?.

Whichever route you take, connect it with accounts the business owns. A connector tied to a freelancer’s login or an agency’s subscription stops when they do.

JuvioX builds dashboards in your own Google account and picks the cheapest connector setup that does the job, for a flat monthly fee, month-to-month with no lock-in. See our Marketing Dashboard service, or start with a free audit of your current reporting.
